Bill Hick's hysterical renegade style of stand-up comedy never brought him much success on his home turf. Coming up in Huston, Texas his raving, rhapsodic philosophy probably went over the heads of most of the fellow rednecks in the audience.
The distance brings perspective and on the other side of the pond he was a huge success.
His 1992 special 'Relentless' is still one of the most brilliant pieces of comedy to date.
